PROJECT RESEARCH
While brainstorming ideas for the project, my team and I developed the idea to create visual representations of the different home countries for international students at Texas A&M. We decided to modify the Academic Building and include different columns with mosaic tiles to showcase all the different countries. The tiles rotate to show new countries at different times. My team particularly liked the idea of showcasing the countries on the pillars as they are metaphorically the foundational pillars to Texas A&M's culture and intrinsic character.

COUNTRY TILE DESIGNS
I created 15 different tile designs for the following countries (pictured in a different order at right): the Bahamas, China, Egypt, Indonesia, France, Ghana, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Kenya, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Nepal, and the Netherlands. Each design is unique, but thematically the majority of the tiles include the national colors of that country, potentially a national emblem or animal, or a representation of the geographic location of that country.

MODELING & SURFACING
I was responsible for modeling the velvet ropes present around the academic seal. I textured and implemented the shader for these ropes and also developed a smart material that is used for the walls, doors, and detailing around the circular opening of each floor.

COMPOSITING
After our scene rendered, I was responsible for gathering the rendered images and creating a sequence in After Effects. I also modified the floor that Hannah created in Photoshop to extend horizontally and match up with the animated layer. It is a transparent overlay on the top layer.
